A car flipped onto its roof Saturday afternoon after colliding with another vehicle off of Sierra Highway in Newhall.

Around 12 p.m. Saturday, emergency responders received reports of a traffic collision with reports of persons trapped on the 23000 block of The Old Road, less than a mile off of Sierra Highway in Newhall, according to Miguel Ornelas, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“We got a call about a traffic collision with persons trapped,” Ornelas said. “However, ambulances cleared with nobody transported and no persons trapped.”

One vehicle had overturned onto its roof, while another vehicle that had pulled over to the side of the road endured minimal damages, according to witnesses on scene.

The cause of the crash remains unknown as of 1:30 p.m.
