Crash In Canyon Country Damages Power Pole, Delays Traffic

A traffic collision in Canyon Country Monday afternoon caused damage to a power pole and delayed traffic in the area.

At approximately 3:37 p.m. Monday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision on Whites Canyon Road near Ranier Street in Canyon Country.

“Two vehicles went into a power pole,” said Leslie Lua with the department. “Airbags were deployed. There were no injuries.”

While no one was taken to the hospital as a result of the incident, a power pole was damaged in the crash, causing traffic in the area to be delayed as officials worked to clear the scene.

Approximately 384 customers with Southern California Edison in the area lost power as a result of the crash, with officials estimating that power would be restored by 11 p.m. Monday.

  1. The writer has a sense of humor. “Delayed Traffic” Maybe that would have been a good time to interview all the delayed traffic to find out why they aren’t home sheltering in place. Sorry, I’m bored I needed to type something to entertain myself. Be safe everyone!

    • @wmscv, you are funny as well. IF you haven’t been out on the roads lately, I can say for a FACT that there is STILL moderate traffic on the city streets. not everyone is “sheltering”, as you put it. Maybe they just don’t like it at home for whatever reason. Hmmmm????
