“There were two vehicles at Agua Dulce Canyon Road and the 14 (freeway),” said Fire Inspector David Dantic. “A mile from Davenport.”

The collision occurred at approximately 7:15, and several emergency vehicles responded to the scene, including several designed to deal with hazardous materials.

One of the vehicles involved had a 50-gallon diesel tank that had ruptured.

“There was a diesel tank leaking,” said Dantic. “A 50-gallon tank.”

However, shortly before 9 a.m., crews had fully contained the spill, preventing it from leaking into the storm drain.

“The fuel spill was contained,” said Dantic. “Less than 40 gallons spilled.”

At least two ambulances were dispatched to the scene, he said, but it is unclear if anybody was transported.
