A jackknifed big rig prompted the response of two hazardous materials teams to Henry Mayo Drive in Castaic Monday afternoon due to a possible fuel spill, officials said.
Shortly after 1:45 p.m. Monday, a traffic collision was reported on the corner of Henry Mayo Drive and Commerce Center Drive in Castaic, according to Franklin Lopez with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
The collision, said to involve a jackknifed tanker truck, was leaking fuel in the intersection, according to initial reports.
“The call came in as a four-vehicle crash,” said Lopez. “Two hazmat teams were sent out, but the amount of spillage is unknown.”
No injuries were reported in relation to the incident. No lanes were reported closed, according to Officer Poluzzi with the California Highway Patrol.
