At around 5:20 p.m. Wednesday, officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Newhall Ranch Road in Saugus.

Initial reports indicate that four vehicles were involved in the collision, according to officials.

When the fire engine with Los Angeles County Fire Department Station 111 arrived on scene, they reportedly cancelled any additional units that were en route, according to an official with the department’s Command and Control Center.

Multi-Vehicle Crash In Saugus Snarls Traffic On Bouquet Canyon, Newhall Ranch

  1. We were there. That’s what happens when people run red lights! I see it there every day coming home from work. Hope all involved are ok!

  2. The light was only red for six seconds, and did not want to wait for another light sequence. I wanted to get home! No excuse.

  3. That intersection is the worst. I have seen so many cars running the red light just to get to where ever it is they are going.

  4. If I remember correctly, this intersection is the largest intersection in Santa Clarita at over 100 ft.
Possibly, more thought by traffic engineers as to timing might be appropriate.

  5. I was there and was almost the one that had the head on collision but instead the car that caused the accident went head on into the car next to me. I know someone ran the red light but it appeared that there was something wrong with that person because they never put on their brake. Not after they hit the first or second car and then as they were drifting across the intersection they never put brakes on. The head on collision is what stopped them. It was like they were passed out during the whole incident.

  6. Take personal responsibility for your safety and the one of others. Our valley will be a better place.
