One person was taken to a nearby hospital Thursday afternoon after a vehicle collided with a fire hydrant in Saugus.

At around 1:10 p.m., officials with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision on Plum Canyon Road and Skyline Ranch Road.

“It came in as a call of a vehicle versus a fountain,” said Franklin Lopez with the department.

After arriving on scene at 1:20 p.m., first responders found that a white BMW had crashed into a fire hydrant along Plum Canyon Rd.

One person was taken to a nearby hospital in unknown condition as a result of the crash.
