One person was taken to the hospital Friday afternoon after their vehicle collided with a power pole on Soledad Canyon Road in Saugus.

Just after 2:30 p.m. Friday, first responders with the Los Angeles County Fire Department received reports of a traffic collision near Commuter Way and Soledad Canyon Road in Saugus.

“There was a single vehicle into a pole,” said Leslie Lua with the department. “There are lines down.”

One person was taken to a nearby hospital as a result of the collision, according to Lua.

A power pole was also knocked down during the crash, blocking a portion of the westbound lanes on Soledad Canyon Rd. just west of Commuter Way.

Two lanes of westbound Soledad Canyon Road were closed for the duration of the incident.

As of 3 p.m., no power outages had been reported in the area as a result of a downed pole.

The exact condition of the individual(s) who were taken to the hospital was unknown as of Friday afternoon.
