One person was transported to the hospital Tuesday after a rollover 14 Freeway crash that was possibly caused by a medical emergency, officials said.
Around 12:45 p.m. first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the northbound 14 Freeway near Newhall Avenue, said Leslie Lua, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD).
“It was reports of a rolled-over vehicle, with persons possibly trapped,” Lua said. “No parties were trapped.”
The driver of the vehicle may have suffered from a stroke prior to the crash, according to California Highway Patrol reports.
“One patient was transported to the hospital,” Marvin Lim, spokesperson for LACoFD.
The condition of the patient is unknown as of Tuesday afternoon, according to Fire officials.
All lanes of the northbound 14 Freeway were temporarily blocked while crews treated the patient, according to officials.
