A two-vehicle Newhall crash Wednesday morning sent one person to the hospital, officials said.

Around 9:30 a.m. Wednesday first responders received reports of a traffic collision near Newhall and Railroad Avenues, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“It came in as a traffic collision with fire,” Lopez said.

However, when units arrived at the crash, they reported there was no fire, according to officials on Fire officials.

One person was sent to the hospital, according to officials on scene.

As a result of the crash, one southbound lane and all northbound lanes of Newhall Avenue were blocked temporarily, according to officials on scene.

The condition of the patient was unknown as of Wednesday morning, according to Fire officials.
