One individual was sent to the hospital Friday morning after their vehicle became trapped underneath a big rig in a Valencia crash, officials said.

Around 9:15 a.m. Friday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the 25400 block of Avenue Stanford in Valencia, said Marvin Lim, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“A vehicle ran into a parked big rig,” Lim said.

As a result of the crash, one person was trapped in the vehicle that was wedged under the truck, according to Lim.

“The person was safely extricated, and sent to the hospital,” Lim said.

The condition of the patient is unknown as of Friday morning, according to Fire officials.

Ave Stanford was temporarily blocked in both directions at Avenue Scott to allow emergency responders to handle the incident.
