One person was transported to the hospital after their vehicle overturned and went off the side of the 5 Freeway north of Castaic Monday afternoon.
Around 12:05 p.m. Monday, first responders received reports of a traffic collision on the southbound 5 Freeway near Templin Highway, just north of Castaic, said Franklin Lopez, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It came in as a rollover crash,” Lopez said.
When crews arrived on scene they confirmed a vehicle went off the side of the freeway, but not persons were trapped, according to Fire officials.
As a result of the crash, one person was transported to the hospital with minor injuries, according to Fire officials.
Traffic was briefly impacted as crews worked to bring the vehicle back up on to the freeway, according to officials.

A new batch? The last batch of idiots are still driving and still idiots. I haven’t had an accident in 37 yrs, been hit 4 times in 14 months ALL in Santa Clarita
