One person was killed after a 14 Freeway crash in Acton Monday morning, officials said.
The solo-vehicle crash was reported just before 8 a.m. Monday on the northbound 14 Freeway near Santiago Road, according to Supervisor Bernard Peters with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
Upon arrival, firefighters found one victim in “critical condition,” Peters said.
“One party was deceased on scene,” said Officer Tony Polizzi with the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Traffic Management Center.

As a result of the crash, a SigAlert was issued for the closure of the No. 1 lane of the northbound 14 in Acton, according to CHP logs.
By 11:30 a.m., all lanes were reopened with the SigAlert canceled, according to Polizzi.
The age and identity of the victim have not been released, pending the notification of next of kin, according to CHP officials.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
