One Transported After Head-On Collision On San Francisquito Canyon

One person was transported to a hospital in an ambulance after a head-on collision on San Francisquito Canyon Road, blocking both lanes on the road Saturday afternoon.

Deputies with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station, along with officials from the Los Angeles County Fire Department responded to San Francisquito Canyon Rd Saturday afternoon, just north of Copper Hill Drive.

For reasons still unknown, a dark grey Scion collided head-on with a dark grey Maserati, causing significant damage to both vehicles, according to officials.

One person was transported to a local hospital in an ambulance as a result of the crash, according to deputies on scene.

The collision also resulted in both lanes of San Francisquito Canyon being blocked, causing significant traffic delays for nearly an hour.

The status of the transported individual is currently unknown.
