A person was killed early Sunday morning after being hit by a vehicle on the 14 Freeway in Agua Dulce.

At around 1:20 a.m. Sunday first responders received reports of a person hit by a vehicle on the northbound 14 Freeway at Agua Dulce Canyon Road, according to Supervisor Letuna with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Officers with the California Highway Patrol confirmed that a body was in the freeway lanes, and announced the person dead on arrival, according to initial reports. 

“Nobody was taken to the hospital,” confirmed Letuna.

A Sig Alert was issued for the northbound 14 Freeway, resulting in the closure of all lanes except one until 5:30 a.m. The Sig Alert has since been lifted.

The identity of the person killed is not known as of Sunday 11:17 p.m.
