Sierra Highway Crash Results In Patients Being Airlifted To Hospital

Two individuals were hospitalized Tuesday morning as a result of a Sierra Highway crash in Agua Dulce, officials said.

Around 6:15 a.m., first responders received reports of a traffic collision with people possibly trapped on Sierra Highway near Thomas Road in Agua Dulce, said Christopher Thomas, a spokesperson for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

“They confirmed two people were trapped,” Thomas said.

Firefighters requested a helicopter to assist in the transport of the patients, according to fire officials.

“Two people were transported to the hospital,” Thomas said.

However, fire officials were unable to confirm if both patients or just one was transported by air.

The conditions of the two patients are unknown as of Tuesday morning.

  1. We need help from CHP to patrol Sierra Highway better than what they’re doing now. Red Rover Rd to Vasquez in the mornings is unbelievable. People from Palmdale flood Sierra Highway opposed to taking the 14fwy. I’ve almost been involved in four head-on collisions due to people crossing over the double yellow lines to pass cars and going into on coming traffic.

    • Yes, I agree. I wish those few people who ruin the commute for the rest of us would get their stuff together. Maybe a little more patrolling in the morning would be nice too. At least one of those persons is off the road today. I feel sorry for the other.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
