The Old Road was temporarily shut down Wednesday morning after a car crashed into a power pole in Castaic.
About 10:33 a.m. Wednesday, emergency responders received reports of a car that has crashed into a pole near the intersection of Parker and The Old Roads in Castaic, according to Charisma Murillo, spokesperson with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We arrived on scene at 10:39 for a vehicle versus pole,” Murillo said. “No ambulance aid was requested.”
A guidewire from the power pole was knocked down and into the roadway, prompting the closure of the road out of caution, according to California Highway Patrol incident logs. No power outages have been reported to Southern California Edison as of 10:50 a.m. Wednesday, according to their outage website.
The southbound side of The Old Road was closed at Boulder Street for an unknown duration due to the incident.
