UPDATE: As of 2:10 p.m. all lanes are now open, according to officials.
Around 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, the California Highway Patrol received reports of a traffic collision involving two big rigs on the southbound 5 Freeway north of Lake Hughes Road, said Officer Josh Greengard, a spokesperson with the California Highway Patrol Newhall Area Office.
“Two vehicles were involved,” Greengard said.
