Two people were sent to a nearby hospital after a truck and its trailer overturned and blocked one lane of traffic on the northbound 14 Freeway Sunday afternoon.
Just after noon on Sunday, reports were received of a vehicle collision on the northbound 14 Freeway just north of Escondido Canyon Road.
“We got out there and there were no persons trapped,” said Supervisor Peters with the L.A. County Fire Department. “Two patients were transported to an Antelope Valley hospital.”
The condition of the patients was undetermined as of Sunday afternoon.
The vehicle, said to be a truck towing a trailer, overturned in the slow lane, according to California Highway Patrol logs.
A SigAlert was issued for the closure of the slow lane of northbound SR-14 near the incident for an undetermined amount of time.
California Highway Patrol logs reported the truck to be the only vehicle involved, and officers were still on scene as of 1 p.m., according to Officer Kravig with the CHP Traffic Management.
