A Valencia woman was killed in a Highway 126 crash on Friday.
Around 12 p.m. Friday, Ventura County first responders received reports of a crash on Highway 126 near Spalding Drive, said Officer Jorge Alfaro, spokesperson for the California Highway Patrol (CHP) Ventura County Area Office.
A Dodge Durango traveling east on Highway 126 spun out and collided with a Honda Civic that was traveling west, according to Alfaro.
The drivers of both vehicles were trapped and required extrication, according to officials.
The driver of the Honda Civic, Valencia resident Delia Price, 48, was pronounced dead on arrival, according to official with the Ventura County Coroners Office.
The driver of the Dodge was transported to Ventura County Medical Center with serious injuries, but is expected to survive, according to Alfaro.
Neither drugs nor alcohol are considered factors in the Highway 126 crash.
