A vehicle was cut in half after crashing into a pole on a Highway 126 overpass, officials said.
The crash was reported at about 4:45 p.m. Monday near Highway 126 and the 5 Freeway, according to Michael Pittman, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
One person was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition, according to Fire officials on scene.
After crashing into the pole, the vehicle was severely damaged, splitting in half, according to California Highway Patrol (CHP) logs.
No other vehicles were damaged in the crash, according to the CHP.
Traffic is impacted in the area on Highway 126 due to the traffic collision, and across the Santa Clarita Valley due to the Elsmere Fire.
