A vehicle went down the embankment after a 5 Freeway crash in Newhall Tuesday afternoon, officials said.
The crash was reported at about 4 p.m. Tuesday on the northbound 5 Freeway near Lyons Avenue in Newhall, according to Marvin Lim with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“It was a BMV versus big rig,” Lim said.
The traffic collision was first reported as a crash with possible persons trapped, but upon arrival firefighters found no one trapped in the vehicle, according to Lim
According to California Highway Patrol logs, the vehicle traveled about 20 feet down the embankment.
There were no injuries reported, according to Fire officials.
