Woman Killed In Saugus Crash Identified

  1. Sad. This is what happens due to the Wakefield Court Christmas lights that the city refuses to enforce any building codes with. 1000s of pedestrians walk or run across Copperhill as it backs up for almost a mile. It was only a matter of time before someone got killed going to see these lights. Hope the homeowners are happy on Wakefield Court.

    • It is very sad. She was a supervisor when I was I High School and she was such a sweetheart. She didnt deserve to go out like that.

    • Yes, let’s blame the homeowners of Wakefield Court.

Stick to the facts, the poor woman was killed by an automobile. Pedestrians always have the right-of-way.

      • This is very sad and, yes, we should stick to the facts when they come out. It is completely false that pedestrians always have the right-of -way and no matter who has the right-of-way, the pedestrian is going to lose.

      • People need to be smart when crossing the street. When it is dark they need to realize they are not easily visible. Who knows why this happened, but it is true that there needs to be some sort of regulation with the lights on that street.

    • It might be better to wait and see the outcome of the investigation before you speculate.

    • I don’t see how it’s the fault of the home owners on Wakefield? People should not cross a busy street where there is no crosswalk.

    • This is the homeowners of Wakefield court’s fault? First off the homeowners there do this for charity…This poor woman got hit on a roadway in the dark quite a distance from Wakefield court. You seem to hold everyone accountable but the person or person’s at fault here. She was a pedestrian in the road in the dark and not in a crosswalk. Common sense would tell most not to run across a dark street where speed limits are 50 mph whether or not there is a light display a mile up the road or not. Not the cities fault, not the homeowners fault it was either an accident by falling in road accidentally or she thought she could make it across safely without being in the crosswalk and did not.

    • You hope the home owners are happy? Your blaming the homeowners for a tragic “accident”? Most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. Rip and sorry to her family dealing with the loss.

  2. So very sad, may she rest in peace!

  3. I don’t think it’s fair to blame the people that are nice to put up such pretty Christmas light displays for the traffic collision. The city of Santa Clarita needs to hire traffic officers to direct the traffic and make sure people are crossing safely and at the cross walks It’s worth the money it saves lives. Prayers to the family of the victim.

  4. Heidi Levy was my sister in law. She was struck and killed while walking home from dinner. She was not on her way to or from Wakefield Court. Her death was a tragic accident and the driver was suspected of being under the influence. There are no marked crosswalks on Copperhill between Haskel Canyon and Seco where Heidi was killed. Perhaps the city would consider installing crosswalks in the future to minimize the risk of similar accidents happening again.

    • Why was she crossing Copperhill at Gold Canyon. If she was at La Coccina for dinner, there’s nothing on the other side of the street at Gold can.

    • We are so sorry for your loss. No matter the circumstances a woman passed away unexpectedly. We pray for you and your family and everyone involved. Really sad especially during the holiday season.

    • Ray I am so sorry for your loss. When I saw Heidi’s name I was shocked and saddened. I sold her Their first house in Saugus like 25+ years ago. She was an absolute gem of human being. Marched to her own drum for sure and a heart of gold. Ran into her a few years back when my son transferred to her school. It was so nice to have a chance to talk to her again.
So sorry for your loss and for her kids (they were you g and driving her crazy while I showed her property). Prayers for your family. Reminds me how precious life is and how often when we say “see you soon” we never really know.

  5. I am glad the driver stopped and is assisting in the investigation. Some people are killed in the roadway, and the killers drive on. Tragic to all persons involved in this accident.

  6. RIP ?? YOU WHERE LIKE A MOM TO ME !!! It’s sad to here your gone !!! You always had my back in school !!!! You the best supervisor!!!! Ever much love #once a bulldog always a bulldog !!!! BOWMAN BULLDOGS !!!! Baby ❤️❤️ Always in our loving hearts !!!! WHERE ALL COMING SOON ?❤️
