Ongoing road closures north of Santa Clarita due to winter storms are set to remain in place into summer, officials said.
The Los Angeles County Department of Public Works announced Monday that roads that had been closed due to storm damage in February are currently set to remain closed until the end of July.
Lake Hughes Road from Elizabeth Lake Road to Dry Gulch Road is only open to contractors, residents and emergency vehicles.
The road has been closed since Feb. 22 and Public Works expects to have it reopened by July 31.
Meanwhile, Ridge Route Road has been closed since Feb 24 due to snowy/icy conditions. While the weather has warmed considerably in recent weeks, the roadway is still scheduled to be closed until April 30, according to L.A. Public Works.
