SCVi To Honor Veterans, First Responders At Veterans Day Event

SCVi is set to honor both veterans and first responders during a welcome breakfast and flag raising ceremony Tuesday.

SCVi, iLEAD’s founding school, is set to honor veterans and first responders at a flag ceremony and welcome breakfast at 9 a.m. on Tuesday, at the Lower School campus.

Every year, the students at SCVi conduct a flag ceremony and host a welcome breakfast to honor members of the United States Armed Forces. This year, SCVi is set to also welcome first responders to the planned events.

“Many SCVi iLEAD families were directly affected by the recent wildfires in Santa Clarita. Both SCVi iLEAD and iLEAD Agua Dulce were closed due to proximity to the flames and smoke,” said Director Nicole Padovich. “We are grateful to the brave men and women who kept our schools and our valley safe over the last few weeks and humbled by their service.”

SCVi is also set to collect donations to distribute to families who lost homes or belongings due to the fires. Donations may be dropped off at The Cafe on the campus of SCVi on Tuesday.

All are welcome to attend the flag ceremony. Veterans and first responders are encouraged to attend the flag ceremony and welcome breakfast in uniform to be recognized for their service. Visitors should check in early at the front desk.
