Thursday evening was initially expected to cool down as low as 40 degrees, according to forecasts.
“We do have a Winter Weather Advisory for some snow in the mountains, down into 3,000-foot elevation late (Wednesday night),” said Joe Sirard, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service. “Looks like a couple of inches on the Grapevine, some icy roads and possible travel delays.”
As of 5:15 p.m., the inclement weather had not prompted any closures on the I-5 Freeway in the Grapevine.
