A rainstorm is expected in the Santa Clarita weather forecast for early Thursday morning.
Beginning early Thursday morning, rain is expected to move into the Santa Clarita Valley, said Mike Wofford, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service.
“Thursday’s storm will be a little better than what we saw today,” Wofford said.
The storm which is expected to start early Thursday could bring up to about a quarter of an inch of rain, according to Wofford.
Skies are expected to clear by around 12 p.m.
Snow is not expected to impact the Grapevine during the morning commute, with snow levels expected above 6,000 feet.
However, Thursday evening, there is a small chance of snow for Frazier Park which could affect travel through the Grapevine.
Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 50s to lower 60s throughout the weekend, according to officials with the National Weather Service.
By Monday night into Tuesday, another storm is expected for the Santa Clarita weather forecast which could bring up to about an inch of precipitation.
