Rain Expected In Santa Clarita Weather Forecast

A rainstorm is expected in the Santa Clarita weather forecast for early Thursday morning.

Beginning early Thursday morning, rain is expected to move into the Santa Clarita Valley, said Mike Wofford, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service.

“Thursday’s storm will be a little better than what we saw today,” Wofford said.

The storm which is expected to start early Thursday could bring up to about a quarter of an inch of rain, according to Wofford.

Skies are expected to clear by around 12 p.m.

Snow is not expected to impact the Grapevine during the morning commute, with snow levels expected above 6,000 feet.

However, Thursday evening, there is a small chance of snow for Frazier Park which could affect travel through the Grapevine.

Temperatures are expected to be in the upper 50s to lower 60s throughout the weekend, according to officials with the National Weather Service.

About Louie Diaz

Louie was born and raised in Santa Clarita. At the age of two Louie lost his vision due to a brain tumor. However, Louie doesn't let blindness stop him from doing what ever it is he wants to accomplish. Growing up some of his favorite hobbies were wood working, fishing and riding bikes. Louie graduated from College of the Canyon in December of 2017, with a Broadcast Journalism degree. Growing up Louie has always wanted to be a fire fighter or a police officer, but because of his blindness Louie knew that wouldn't work. Louie has always loved listening to police and fire radio traffic, using a scanner, and he figured if he was going to listen to the scanner so much, he should do something with it.
