Strong Winds, Light Snow In Mountains Near Santa Clarita Valley

The National Weather Service (NWS) issued an alert for strong winds and light snow along the northern slopes of the Ventura and Los Angeles County Mountains.

The alert for strong winds and light snow is anticipated to last through Saturday night. 

Wind gusts are predicted to reach 55 mph with snow levels totaling 3 inches, according to NWS officials.

Drivers are cautioned to anticipate difficult driving conditions and delays due to slippery mountain roads through the Grapevine and I-5, potential downed trees and powerlines, according to NWS officials.
