Triple digits are returning again to the Santa Clarita weather forecast, resulting in an elevated fire risk for the area, officials said Friday.
Friday temperatures are expected to be over 100 degrees, with low humidity levels throughout the weekend, said Ryan Kittell, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service.
“(Friday) is going to be around 102,” Kittell said.
Temperatures are set to be slightly cooler Saturday, and by Sunday temperatures are expected to be around 93 degrees, Kittell said.
Throughout the weekend, winds are set to be around 10 to 20 mph, with humidity levels around 10 to 15 percent, according to officials.
Due to the low humidity levels and high winds, an elevated fire risk has been issued for Santa Clarita throughout Saturday evening, officials said.
By next week, temperatures are expected to cool off and humidity levels to rise, according to the NWS.
