Two more storms are in the Santa Clarita weather forecast with no snow expected for the lower elevations.
The first of the two storms in the Santa Clarita weather forecast is expected to arrive early Friday morning, said Rich Thompson, a meteorologist for the National Weather Service (NWS).
“We are expecting a nice little shot of rain for the Santa Clarita area,” Thompson said.
Rain is expected to start falling just after midnight and last through the early hours of Saturday, Thompson said.
Friday’s storm could bring about one-half inch to one inch of rain to the area, with snow elevations over 7,000 feet, Thompson said.
“So no snow or hail, just all rain,” Thompson said.
By the weekend, skies are expected to clear before a second strong storm hits the area.
The second storm is set to move in over the Santa Clarita Valley Tuesday and last through Wednesday, Thompson said.
Just like the first storm, snow levels are expected to remain over 7,000 feet, according to Thompson.
As of Thursday, there are no flood warnings issued for Los Angeles County, Thompson said.
