A Wind Advisory has been issued for the Santa Clarita Valley Friday, with gusts of up to 40 mph that weather officials say could result in “a few power outages.”

On Friday, officials with the National Weather Service (NWS) issued a Wind Advisory for the Santa Clarita Valley, which is scheduled to last from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday.

“Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects and make driving difficult, especially for drivers of high profile vehicles,” the advisory reads. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”

Northwest to north winds between 15 and 25 mph are forecast for the Santa Clarita Valley, with officials expecting gusts of up to 40 mph.
