Dodgers Announce Holiday Drive-Thru To Celebrate World Series Championship

The Los Angeles Dodgers may not be able to have a traditional championship parade this year, but the team has organized a drive-thru Holiday Festival for fans to celebrate their World Series win.

The event is expected to feature a light show, LED video displays, fake snow and interactive displays honoring the Dodgers World Championship in a holiday-themed celebration.

Additionally, fans will be able to tune into a particular FM radio station for accompanying audio.

Previously, a request from LeBron James on Twitter for a parade to celebrate the championship wins for the Lakers and Dodgers prompted a response from Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, who expressed his desire to work with teams to find a safe way to celebrate during the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic.

Much in the way schools held drive-thru graduation ceremonies in spring to maintain social distancing, Dodgers officials arrived at a similar solution to offer fans a championship celebration experience.

Those that participate in the drive-thru event are subject to a set of guidelines to protect the health of themselves and other participants, including staying in one’s vehicle at all times and wearing a mask if windows are rolled down, among others.

The Dodgers’ Holiday Festival drive-thru is scheduled to be held each night from November 27th to December 24th starting at 5 p.m. and concluding at 11 p.m.

Tickets for the event went on sale Tuesday, they start at $55 per vehicle and are only available online.
