Los Angeles Dodgers Advance To Playoff For Ninth Year In A Row

After a definitive win on Wednesday night over the St. Louis Cardinals, the Los Angeles (LA) Dodgers will be moving into the postseason for the ninth year in a row.

Every year since 2013, the LA Dodgers have competed in the postseason playoffs. Wednesday, Oct 6, the Dodgers faced the St. Louis Cardinals at their home stadium in Los Angeles, winning 3-1, advancing them to the next stage.

After a walk-off victory, the Dodgers clinched their position as the National League Wildcard, advancing to the best-of-five National League Division Series (NLDS) against the San Francisco Giants, who are set to host the first game of the series in San Francisco on Friday Oct 8 at 6:37 p.m.

The other three to four games in the series are scheduled to be held as follows: Game 2 Saturday, Oct 9 at Oracle Park in San Francisco, Game 3-4 Monday and Tuesday at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles. Should a Game 5 be necessary, it is expected to be held at Oracle Park.

Dodger Stadium has released that they plan to offer viewing options for all of the NLDS games, including hosting viewing parties sponsored by Budweiser in the Centerfield Plaza for the San Francisco-based games.

“Entertainment options – including pitching & batting cages, the Dodgers Dugout AR Experience presented by Spectrum and additional big screens for viewing – will be activated for the viewing parties, which will include World Series Replica Ring giveaways and free parking for event ticket holders,” stated LA Dodgers staff.

Dodgers merchandise locations in Centerfield Plaza are expected to open, as well as a variety of concessions spots, including Overlook Bars, Dueling Dogs, Golden Road Bar, Shake Shack, Jim Beam Bar, Mastercard Food Truck, ice cream truck and michelada fire truck.
