The pedestrian was struck near the corner of Drayton Street and Railroad Avenue around 7 p.m. Friday, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Fire officials responded to the collision and found one patient dead on arrival, according to LACoFD officials.

The woman was possibly homeless, officials said Friday night. Coroner’s officials confirmed Monday they do know the woman’s name, but have not released it because they have not been able to notify her next of kin.
