Celebrating the 35th anniversary of America’s longest running country music talent search, the Country Showdown invites musicians throughout the country to enter and share their talents with the nation. Having helped launch the careers of such artists like Brad Paisley, Carrie Underwood, and more, the Country Showdown will continue to launch the career of one lucky winner this year.

There are thousands of artists who compete every year, all through the 700 live music competitions held throughout the country and hosted by local radio stations, including Santa Clarita’s own KHTS AM 1220. Accepting applications now, the competition will narrow down to 10 competitors who will compete at Keyboard Galleria on June 26th at 2 PM.

After that round, the contestant group will tighten once again as it shrinks down to three finalists who will perform at the Country Showdown Concerts in the Park on Saturday July 16th. The city’s winner from last year, singer and two-time national finalist Suzanne Harper, will headline the performance before the winners ultimately move on to perform at the Country Showdown Finals at Knotts Berry Farm. Brought to contenders by both Keyboard Galleria and Reeves Complete Auto Repair and Service Center, KHTS AM 1220 invites all aspiring country artists to test their talents and enter the 35th Annual Country Showdown for a chance at notoriety as well as a prize package worth $100,000.
