Lanes #1-2-3 are open with lane #4 still closed as of 3:55 p.m.

All lanes were stopped following the two-vehicle collision, which was reported around 1:30 p.m., according to California Highway Patrol officials.

Three helicopters landed at the scene to airlift the victims to trauma centers, according to Joey Marron, an inspector for the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

Initial CHP reports indicated one vehicle overturned in the crash, and multiple people were reportedly out of their vehicles in the lanes, with one person possibly lying in the roadway.

Traffic on the southbound I-5 was backed up for approximately four miles as of 2:30 p.m., just stopping south of SR-138, according to CHP officials.

A SigAlert was issued at 2:17 p.m. for all southbound lanes, with northbound lanes re-opened at 2:26 p.m.

No additional information is available at this time.
