Let’s take a look at Foothill League soccer, which like basketball starts their second half of league play today. In boy’s action, Canyon and Saugus are tied at 3-1-1 in league play. Hart is undefeated; however they also have three ties with a 2-0-3 record. West Ranch is 2-2-1, with Golden Valley and Valencia at 1-4-0. In girl’s action, Hart is also undefeated, but this time their on top of the standings at 3-0-2. Canyon and Saugus share second place with matching records of 3-1-1, Valencia is 2-1-2, followed by West Ranch at 1-4-0 and Golden Valley at 0-5-0.
Round two of basketball kicks off tonight, and KHTS will have all of the action from West Ranch High School, where Sean LeGaux’s upstart Wildcats look to prove the first half of league was no fluke. West Ranch will host a Canyon squad looking for revenge, as the Wildcats upset the Cowboys at Canyon to win their first ever league game just two weeks ago. KHTS will have all of the boy’s varsity action, live at 6:15pm.
UCLA men’s basketball defeated Oregon, 80-75. USC rolled Oregon State, 68-44.
The Los Angeles Kings entered the All-Star break on a positive note, defeating Anaheim 3-1 last night. The Kings will be represented by 20-year-old phenom Anze Kopitar at the All-Star game in Atlanta this weekend.
