Deputies arrested a woman Sunday afternoon on attempted murder and child cruelty charges after allegedly shooting at her husband’s vehicle with a child inside, officials said.
Briana Ramos, 37, from Lake Hughes was charged with felony attempted murder, convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and child cruelty, said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
The incident occurred on the 35700 block of San Francisquito Canyon north of Santa Clarita Sunday afternoon, according to Miller.
“The suspect allegedly retrieved a firearm from her vehicle and shot rounds toward the victim,” Miller said.
The victim’s vehicle was struck by one of the rounds.
“There was a child in victim’s vehicle at the time of the incident,” Miller said.
Ramos was arrested and transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station with bail set at $2,095,000, according to arrest records.

So how is someone who was arrested for attempted murder out and able to continue their murderous rampage?
?…she was arrested for attempted murder…it doesn’t specify for what she was already a convicted felon. But I can see the confusion….the article title is poorly written. It should probably read “Suspect Arrested for Attempted Murder After Allegedly Firing Rounds at Husband’s Vehicle”… ?
