Driver Flees After Crashing Into Tree In Santa Clarita

Authorities are investigating why a person ran from their car after crashing into a tree and some bushes on Bouquet Canyon Road Sunday afternoon. 

California Highway Patrol Traffic Incident’s page said in a solo-vehicle crash Sunday afternoon the driver ran from the scene after veering off to the right on Bouquet Canyon Road and hitting a tree, some bushes and a fence in Santa Clarita.

The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. near the intersection of Bouquet Canyon Road and Cavehill Road, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP officials said the driver ran the scene up Bouquet Canyon Road after the crash. 

It remains unclear why the vehicle veered off the road, and investigators have not yet determined whether there were any injuries as a result of the collision.
