Two suspects were arrested on multiple charges after Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s deputies located a stolen vehicle Tuesday.
Around 1 p.m. Tuesday, Crime Impact Team (CIT) team deputies located a stolen vehicle in the parking lot of The Home Depot in the 20600 block of Golden Triangle Road in Canyon Country, said Shirley Miller, a spokesperson for the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Station.
“The vehicle was reported stolen by a Ford dealership and was allegedly purchased using fraudulent personal information,” Miller said.
During a search of the vehicle, deputies found several identification cards that did not belong to either suspect, according to Miller.
“Deputies learned that one of the suspects had used a stolen credit card to purchase items from the Canyon Country Home Depot, just minutes before being detained,” Miller said.
The female suspect was additionally found to have stolen checks, narcotics, and narcotics paraphernalia in her possession.
Gregory Estrada Villarea, 36, from Woodland Hills, was arrested on felony charges of auto theft.
Debora Samayoa, 43, from Pacoima, was arrested on felony auto theft, grand theft, identity theft and misdemeanor narcotics charges, Miller added.
Both suspects were transported to the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff’s Jail. Estrada Villarea was subsequently cited and released with a future court date, and Samayoa remains in custody on $40,000 bail as of Wednesday afternoon.
