Who/What: CBS Film Series presents “Dreaming of a Jewish Christmas”

Details: Unbelievably Entertaining!! Where else can you see dancing and singing Chinese waiters?!
Believe it or not, all of those beautiful Christmas songs that we hear year after year were written by Jewish songwriters.

Set almost entirely in a Chinese restaurant, Dreaming of a Jewish Christmas is an offbeat, irreverent musical documentary that tells the story of a group of Jewish songwriters, including Irving Berlin and Mel Tormé who wrote the soundtrack to Christianity’s most musical holiday. It’s an amazing tale of immigrant outsiders being accepted as important players in American pop culture. The film is all about pure joy and celebration of the human spirit, infused with humor and history behind your favorite Christmas carols.
