Cary Quashen and Bob Sharits sit down with Ann Unger, who’s the Executive Director at Santa Clarita Valley Education Foundation.

Our hosts start the show off by explaining why people suffer from substance abuse and prescription pills. They talk about how drugs are addictive to the physical and mental nature of individuals.

Ann Unger speaks about the SCV Education Foundation and how they’ve been a vital force in the community for 30 years. She talks about the fundraiser Principle for a day and how it’s a fun event that gives money back to the local public schools and it.s affiliated programs.

The importance of heroes and role models in children’s lives is also discussed in this episode of Families in Action.
