L.A. District Attorney Determines No Use Of ‘Unreasonable Force’ In Relation To Castaic Death

The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office found “insufficient evidence” of unreasonable force in a report that investigated the 2016 officer-involved shooting of William Bowers in Castaic.  The shooting, which occurred in August 2016, resulted in a wrongful death civil lawsuit which led to a $4.6 million settlement on Feb. 20, 2019 and paid to the family of Bowers.
