“A quarter acre grass fire right now,” is what the crews are handling, said Captain Ron Singleton with the L.A. County Fire Department. “We’ve got a handle on it”

The fire began as a car fire, Singleton said, but quickly spread to the surrounding brush.

However, by 3:20 p.m. on-scene first responders had a handle on the fire, and all aircraft assigned to the incident were recalled.
