None Injured As Big Rig Fire Stalls Highway 14

Northbound traffic on Highway 14 was interrupted Saturday evening after the cab of a big rig was completely engulfed in flames.

Los Angeles Fire Department responders rushed to a vehicle fire on the 14 near Newhall Avenue at 8:02 p.m. Saturday night.

The cab of the semi truck was on the right shoulder and engulfed in flame as firefighters arrived on scene.

They were able to quickly extinguish the blaze and prevent it from spreading to any nearby brush according to LAFD officials.

While the truck’s cab was burned beyond repair the fire did not damage any nearby structures.

Firefighters had knocked down the scene at 9:08 p.m. and no one was injured in the fire.
