14 Freeway Fire Extinguished, Vehicle Fire Believed To Be Cause

LACoFD officials have declared knockdown on a small vegetation fire that they believe had begun due to a vehicle fire in the same location spreading to the surrounding brush.

Within minutes of arriving on scene, Los Angeles County firefighters had extinguished the small blaze that began shortly before 1 p.m. on Sunday afternoon, according to witnesses on scene.

Investigators on scene have indicated that the blaze is believed to have been sparked by a vehicle fire in that same location, but officials are still waiting to speak with the owner of the vehicle who was was not on scene when emergency crews first arrived.

No injuries were reported due as a result of the fire.
