“We were dispatched to a vehicle fire on the freeway,” said Los Angeles County Fire Department Inspector Joey Marron.

The call came in at 12:44 p.m., and first responders arrived at the scene at 12:49 p.m.

“When they arrived,” said Marron, “a vehicle was fully involved.”

There was a small spot fire in the brush near the vehicle, he said, but LACoFD officals were able to put out both fires within ten minutes.

All units were released from the scene by 1:20 p.m.
