Nola Aronson of Advanced Audiology recently announced her sponsorship of two upcoming nonprofit fundraisers in Santa Clarita: Circle of Hope Vine 2 Wine and Dancing With Our Stars.

As a member of the board of directors for Circle of Hope and an 18-year breast cancer survivor, Aronson made the decision to support the organization’s mission to help cancer patients even further by acting as title sponsor for their annual event, Vine 2 Wine.

“It’s a very good event — all the proceeds go to helping people with cancer,” Aronson said. “We have a new center called Hope’s Haven, which is a support group and you get to exercise, you get to have your makeup done, massages, all kinds of great things.”

Set to take place Saturday at CalArts in Valencia, the event features wine, food, music by Lance Allyn, a silent auction and a live auction with Assemblyman Dante Acosta acting as auctioneer, according to Aronson.

Then on Aug. 24 at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center at COC, Aronson is set to sponsor Dancing With Our Stars 2018.

More than a dozen Santa Clarita nonprofits are expected to participate in the event, which features a local “celebrity” representing each nonprofit as a dancer, who will then partner with the nonprofit to raise donations through proxy votes, according to the PAC website.

“The reason I’m sponsoring that is because that includes about 15 … nonprofits all at once,” Aronson said. “So that’s a good way to (support) all the nonprofits, is coming to Dancing With Our Stars.”

Not only does Advanced Audiology regularly sponsor nonprofit fundraisers in the Santa Clarita Valley, Aronson also donates 10 percent of all hearing aid sale proceeds to a variety of nonprofits.

“When you are thinking of where to entrust your hearing needs, wouldn’t you feel better going to a place that gives back and supports their community?”  Aronson said.

Additionally, Advanced Audiology has set a goal of giving 2,018 free hearing screenings in Santa Clarita in the year 2018, and Aronson noted her office has already given around 1,650 screenings so far.

“For anybody that wants one, all you have to do is call our office,” Aronson said. “Also what we do there is not only give you a free hearing screening, but educate you about hearing, so that’s what’s really important to us is the education portion.”
