What is next for the city? Job growth in the city could be attributed to the growing technology startups in Santa Clarita. These startups could be growing the job market while making Santa Clarita the Silicon Valley of the South.

The increase in median household income is over $85,000 and more and more young workers are joining the workforce in Santa Clarita. Could this be due to the growth of tech businesses in the city?

3 Tips to Become an Entrepreneur and Launch a Startup

The Santa Clarita Business Incubator is definitely a great place to begin your entrepreneurial journey. It is a place for creatives and tech startup entrepreneurs to grow and hone key skills for growth and success.

There are a few aspects to starting a startup every entrepreneur needs under their belt prior to moving forward.

1. Find a Solution with a Market that Wants to Buy Your Product/Service

The number one reason startups fail is no market, according to CB Insights. Having no market means that there is no audience that wants or needs your product or service. Even if it is very tech savvy and innovative, if it doesn’t solve a common issue, you may not have people to purchase.

This is an essential tip that all budding entrepreneurs need to remember. “The ability to highlight a problem, maybe even a problem in your own life, and deliver a solution to the masses is a formula for success.” Raihan Masroor, COO of health tech startup Your Doctors Online, explained.

2. Serve Up a Powerful User Experience via Your Website

You may have heard the term “user experience” already in your entrepreneur research. It is a very important term to remember and turn into action, making it a vita tip to follow for growth and success as an entrepreneur.

The truth is, if it’s not online, it simply doesn’t exist in the digital era. That makes it important to have an online presence. This is easy to do, especially with shared or VPS hosting and plenty of WordPress website themes to choose from.

3. Have an Audience Focused Marketing Strategy

Marketing is a very important asset in your entrepreneur toolbox. Once you have identified a buyer persona for your product and/or service, you need to develop a startup-minded, small business marketing strategy to reach your target audience.

To create a marketing strategy, you need to know where your target audience spends their time online. For example, maybe you are catering your startup toward solving a problem for Millennials. Your main marketing channel in this case would probably be social media — Instagram more than other channels.

In Conclusion . . .

The Santa Clarita job market is definitely looking good and the development of programs like the Santa Clarita Business Incubator are going to increase employment even more. Entrepreneurs may be leading the charge with new innovative startups making Santa Clarita look like Silicon Valley.
