A vehicle fire on the 14 Freeway sparked a small brush fire Sunday prompting a response from firefighters, officials said.
Around 4:20 p.m. Sunday, firefighters received reports of a vehicle fire on the northbound 14 Freeway near Escondido Canyon Road in Agua Dulce, said Ed Pickett, a dispatch supervisor with the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
“We got reports of a vehicle fire that spread to an eighth of an acre,” Pickett said.
Crews were able to extinguish both the brush and vehicle fires within minutes, according to officials.
This fire is the second brush fire to burn on the 14 Freeway Sunday, following the Dulce Fire that was first reported around 12:15 p.m. Sunday afternoon.
