The Dodgers (43-36) withstood a late Brewers rally to take the first game of the series in Milwaukee with a 6-5 victory.

It was a career night for one Julio Urias (1-2, 4.09 ERA), as the Dodgers youngster reached six innings and 100 pitches for the first time in his MLB career en route to earning his first win. Urias allowed two hits and two earned runs while striking out six.

Adrian Gonzalez led the way offensively, going 3-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored.

NOTABLE: Clayton Kershaw is returning to Los Angeles Wednesday to have his back examined by back surgeon Robert Watkins. He is still slated to start at home against Colorado on Friday, but the Dodgers’ ace hasn’t gotten any better since feeling soreness after his start on Monday, according to manager Dave Roberts.
